Do you like to take photos? No matter whether you’re a novice or an expert, use your Smartphone’s built in camera or a DSLR, the Kawartha Camera Club (KCC) has something for you.

The Kawartha Camera Club was formed in 2012 to bring together photographers – new and experienced – to learn skills from each other in a hands-on approach in an enjoyable, social atmosphere.

And that’s exactly what they did this summer at Chandos Lake in collaboration with the CLPOA. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Exhibited at the Chandos Lake Art Festival and participated in a presentation of the 1st Annual Chandos Lake Photo Contest top photos – fitting because the KCC were participants on the panel of Photo Contest judges.

  • Conducted a FREE Photography Tutorial on “Composition in Photography” that gave participants an opportunity to learn how to take a great photo, as well as challenge them to get the most out of their camera – whether they used a phone or traditional camera.
