About CLPOA

The Chandos Lake Property Owners Association (CLPOA) exists to serve its members who are property owners on Chandos Lake in the Township of North Kawartha or associates. The members and the CLPOA Board – enthusiastic local cottage owners who volunteer their personal time – have come together with one goal in mind: To protect an asset of mutual value – the Chandos Lake experience.

Some things may have changed since the Association was formed in 1947, but the top priorities continue to be:

  • Water Quality
  • Safety
  • Social / Recreational Events
  • Communications

The annual CLPOA membership fees support the Association’s initiatives around these top priorities. For the details, including the specific benefits to members, visit Membership Benefits.

The CLPOA Board – elected at the Annual General Meeting by the members – listens to and acts on member concerns which require CLPOA involvement, representing the members with organizations such as the Federation of Ontario Cottagers’ Associations (FOCA) at the provincial level, other associations, as well as with various community and government organizations.
