The CLPOA Fireworks Display is designed and staged by Supernova Fireworks, a Peterborough based firm with extensive experience. The show will be overseen by the CLPOA Fireworks Committee volunteers, staff from the Township of North Kawartha Roads Department and Fire Service.
Location: Barge off Chandos Beach
Date: Saturday, August 3rd, rain date Sunday August 4th.
Time: starting at dusk, around 9:30 pm
Cottagers are encouraged to attend the event by boat or watch it at cottages close to the beach. NEW THIS YEAR, spectators will be allowed on the Chandos Beach and parking lot. The boat launch area will continue to be off limits. Note there is no parking permitted on Hwy 620.
- Please leave your outdoor cottage lights on, no matter where on the Lake you’re located, so the hundreds of boats can safely navigate their return trip to their cottages after the show.
With one major Fireworks Display on Chandos for the enjoyment of all, the CLPOA hopes to encourage cottagers to cancel their own fireworks throughout the summer. And instead, consider donating to help offset CLPOA costs and make the show even more spectacular!
The Township of North Kawartha has enacted By-law 2021-0118 which prohibits the setting off Consumer Fireworks within the Township except on 5 occasions during the calendar year.
Thank you to John Trotter and Rockers Landscaping for donating the barge for launching the fireworks and to these CLPOA Sponsors:
Diamond: RE/MAX Country Classics Ltd – Clark Breuls

Gold: Ash-Tec Roofing and Construction, Bowes & Cox- Cottages for Sale, Kawartha Docks and Sayers
Silver: Cottage Toys, Kawartha Heating Solutions, R & J Machine – Marine Docking and Lifts, Conlin Premier Construction and Waddell Custom Homes.
We are inviting donations from cottagers or guests to offset the cost of these magnificent fireworks.
