Outstanding Contributor Award

Chandos Lake Outstanding Contributor Award

The Chandos Lake Outstanding Contributor Award was introduced in 2023 to recognize volunteers who have distinguished themselves through long-term leadership in support of the CLPOA’s top priorities.

Volunteers are at the heart of our community. Their time and dedication strengthen our association, protect the health of the lake, and enrich the experience of everyone who enjoys Chandos. Each year’s award recipient receives an engraved hand made maple paddle, is featured in the CLPOA Yearbook, honoured at the Volunteer Appreciation Social, and receives a complimentary CLPOA membership for life.

2025 Recipient

We were proud to present the 2025 Outstanding Contributor Award to Edith Gorman at this summer’s Volunteer Appreciation Social, where she was honoured with beautifully engraved Canadian handmade maple paddles.

Since taking on the role of Editor and Coordinator of the Chandos Lake Yearbook in 2018, Edith has transformed it into the vibrant publication we all look forward to each summer. She led a team of volunteers, photographers, and designers with creativity and persistence, giving the yearbook a fresh look and making it a true snapshot of life on Chandos Lake. Even during the pandemic, Edith ensured the yearbook reached every member, helping our community feel connected when it mattered most.

We are deeply grateful for Edith’s years of dedication and leadership, and we are thrilled to celebrate her as this year’s Outstanding Contributor.
